Re: bicycle traffic
I hope our township doesn't intend to spend money on widening roads or painting stripes on our town roads because of bike traffic. The bicyclists have taken over snowmobile trails and rv trails that were paid for by rv and snowmobile registeration fees and now bikes are the only ones that can use them. They put no money into them and are the only ones to reap the benefits from them. Something will have to be worked out like bike registeration or fees for using the roads. What does anyone else think ?

What does anyone else think ? Bikers do pay to get a permit for state and county bike trails! However, I agree that Primrose does not need to get into the bike path business. My wife and I negotiate the roads in Primrose just fine when we are bike riding. I don't want to encourage everyone in Dane Co. to ride out here! |

What trails are you referring to? Just curious. (02-03-2009 05:57 PM)Roger R Snider Sr. Wrote: They put no money into them and are the only ones to reap the benefits from them. As Gib said, bicyclists are required to have a trail pass for all state trails, such as the Millitary Ridge and Badger State Trails. Passes are $4 daily and $20 annually. |
